Brasserie Memere

Brasserie Memere is located about half-an-hour outside of NYC in Closter, NJ, but dining here feels like you are at one of New York's finest French establishments. Featuring a menu of authentic French delicacies like escargot, chicken confit, and steak tartare, this spot is one of the classiest around.

Monkey Bar

Monkey Bar is one of Midtown's hardest reservations for a reason. This restaurant's aesthetic is as iconic as it comes, and its menu features a wide range of flavorful pastas and chops. Take note of the dessert menu, specifically the above candy-filled banana split..

Olio e Piu

Olio e Piu is one of the West Village's worst kept secrets. Featuring a menu of both classic and elevated Italian fare, it is no surprise why these reservations are so hard to come by. Pictured above is their take on the Italian classic, spaghetti carbonara.

Carbone

This might just be NYC's most famous pasta. Potentially even the most famous pasta in the world. Carbone is known for its spicy rigatoni and its celebrity-ridden restaurants across the country, with its home base in NYC's West Village.

Penelope

Penelope is one of the most aesthetically pleasing cafes in the city, featuring an array of breakfast and lunch options. Also known for their delicious breakfast cocktails, this spot is a crowd pleaser in the earlier hours.

Pik Nik BBQ

While New York is not known for its barbeque scene, I believe that Pik Nik BBQ can complete with southern BBQ joints. Located just outside NYC in Tarrytown, this restaurant should not be missed if you find yourself craving authentic BBQ flavors.
